The new John Lewis at home store in Ipswich is set to hire around 25 seasonal staff in the run-up to Christmas.
Across the UK, John Lewis has announced it is hiring more than 2,000 temporary staff in 24 of its stores in a variety of roles.
The flagship Futura Park, Nacton, store says it has taken on 25 temporary sales assistants, employed across a number of departments including the Christmas shop, furnishing accessories, homeware and electricals.
Section manager for branch operations Ana Felisberto, who is coordinating the store’s recruitment process, said it was important that customers’ experience was as smooth as possible at such a crucial time.
“We look for enthusiastic people who understand the importance of making sure every customer receives a high level of customer service,” she said.
