THE owner of a bridal shop in Ipswich is looking forward to a big day of her own next week as she prepares to open the doors to a new store.
Just a Day, which was based at 8-10 Norwich Road, is set to open at a new location along the street at 30 Norwich Road on January 7.
Owner Sharon Higgs has been based on Norwich Road for 14 years, and began trading 19 years ago. The new location marks a partnership between Just a Day and department store Coes, as Sharon is renting from director William Coe.
“It’s been totally redesigned by Richard Crosby at Poole and Pattle architects in Ipswich,” Sharon said.
“We sat down and had a meeting and came up with different ideas on how to make the building work for a bridal retail shop. It’s much more modern with a contemporary look.
“We’ve had such a good vibe from everybody,” she added. “We’ve even had people offer to help us move the dresses,” she added.
