NATIONAL Express East Anglia (NXEA) has appointed Jackie Gibbs as head of customer service in the northern region of its network.

Ms Gibbs has worked for National Express for the past two years and has recently moved to this new role to lead the customer service organisation in the northern area of the NXEA network.

The geographic area she is responsible for includes much of north Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, encompassing 88 stations, eight area managers and includes the key mainline services operating from Norwich, Ipswich and Colchester.

“I relish the opportunity to take on this new challenge and my priority will be to further improve the service we provide to our customers on a daily basis,” she said.

Before joining National Express, Ms Gibbs worked in management consultancy, and has an impressive background in retail starting life at Marks and Spencer where she became the youngest supervisor in the company, and then progressing to key retail positions at Dorothy Perkins, Falmer Jeans and latterly at Warner Bros. Studio Stores where Jackie headed their European retail operation.

She lives in Essex, and enjoys the outdoors, including horse riding and walking her dogs.
