Jam firm appoints new director

SCOTT Goodfellow was appointed a director of Tiptree jam-makers Wilkin & Sons Ltd, on June 25, 125 years to the day that the first ‘Tiptree’ jam was made.

Mr Goodfellow, of Hatfield Heath, joined the company as UK sales manager in 2008 and has successfully expanded the range of Tiptree products offered by major supermarkets and fine food retailers.

“Scott’s huge personality and enthusiasm has helped the company achieve record sales,” said Ian Thurgood, joint managing director of Wilkin & Sons Ltd. “He is a real team player with wide experience in UK retail and food manufacturing.”

Mr Goodfellow said it was “a privilege” to have been invited to join the board of Wilkin & Sons.

“We are a fiercely independent family business with a proud heritage and a bright future. Our singular focus on quality remains as firm as ever,” he said.
