JANE Gurden has joined the clinical negligence department at Colchester and Clacton-based law firm Thompson Smith & Puxon.Ms Gurden, who lives in Leavenheath, is a qualified biologist and has a PhD in pharmacology, and has experience of working with clients at private medical clinics.
JANE Gurden has joined the clinical negligence department at Colchester and Clacton-based law firm Thompson Smith & Puxon.
Ms Gurden, who lives in Leavenheath, is a qualified biologist and has a PhD in pharmacology, and has experience of working with clients at private medical clinics. She has also worked as a freelance medical writer.
She is vice-chair of Leavenheath Parish Council and chair of the executive committee of 1st Leavenheath Scouts.
In her new paralegal role, she will be the first point of call for people with new medical negligence claims and will help provide information and advice on whether public funding for the case is available.
“I wanted to combine my medical knowledge and experience with a role that involved meeting people, so I am delighted to join the clinical negligence team,” she said.
