JASON Wells has been appointed as project manager at 1st East, the urban regeneration company for Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.Before joining, he worked on a number of significant capital property and regeneration projects for the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and on a number of projects in the Thames Gateway.

JASON Wells has been appointed as project manager at 1st East, the urban regeneration company for Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

Before joining, he worked on a number of significant capital property and regeneration projects for the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and on a number of projects in the Thames Gateway.

He started his career as a trainee surveyor with RG Carter before studying at the University of Aberdeen, where he gained an honours degree in land economics. He gained valuable property experience with JSM Property Management in Norwich and a housing association before joining EEDA in 2000.

While at EEDA, he qualified as a chartered surveyor, focusing on economic development and regeneration. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

1st East chief executive Philip Watkins said: “I'm delighted that Jason is joining the team. As a project manager, Jason will be responsible for refining the regeneration plans and moving them from vision to delivery. He has a broad range of experience and a track record in delivering major projects which will be invaluable in bringing forward key sites for development.”
