KEITH Brown has been made chief executive of East of England Tourism.
Mr Brown, who has been with the East of England Tourist Board since August 2006, has been instrumental in the successful transition of the organisation to East of England Tourism and in its move to new offices in Bury St Edmunds.
Before joining the organisation, he was vice president for Marketing UK and marketing director for the London region for the Hilton Group, where he was responsible for marketing 78 UK hotels.
He started his career with British Airways and moved into the hotel sector, where he held a number of senior sales and marketing positions with organisations such as Thistle Hotels and Forte.
He said he was “delighted” at his new role and keen to raise the awareness and expectations of visitors.
He and his team are about to launch two campaigns across the region to attract discerning visitors.
