ORGANISERS of the 2009 Suffolk Business Exhibition, taking place at Trinity Park on April 29 between 1pm and 7pm, have confirmed the line-up of speakers for the afternoon.

Headlining the event, which is a joint venture between Ipswich & Suffolk Small Business Association (ISSBA) and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, is top motivational speaker, Malcolm Gallagher of BizVision.

Taking a theme of “Going from Gloom to Boom” he will present six key tactics for surviving tough times. Mr Gallagher is a globally renowned speaker and business coach, renowned for his high energy style and no-nonsense approach.

Taking the floor at 5.15 pm will be Al Collier, head of sourcing, procurement and contract management for Suffolk County Council, the main sponsors of the exhibition. He will be presenting options strategies to help local businesses to win council contracts.

Karen Hester, operations director of Adnams and Institute of Directors' East of England Businesswoman of the Year 2008, will be talking about how she made the leap from her job as cleaner to her current role.

Duncan Brodie, business editor of the East Anglian Daily Times, is giving a personal insight into the global economic problems affecting the local community; broadcast journalist Rachel Sloane will talk about what makes a good news story and Margaret Fleming from The Image Practice will give tips on “How to Dress Rich on a Budget”.

Despite greater capacity than previous years, all 122 exhibition stands sold out in record time. Organisers, Boleyn Events, are expecting bumper crowds to attend the exhibition and seminars and to register for the free one-to-one advice sessions being staged by local businesses.
