A COLCHESTER designer has scooped an award for her “stunning and functional” kitchen facelift.
Carissa Snelling, 25, a designer at Nicholas Anthony, was named New Designer of the Year - Kitchen at the annual Design Awards last week for her design for a kitchen in West Bergholt done to a budget of £50,000.
She collected her prize, which included £1,000, from TV design programme presenter Naomi Cleaver after she was selected from hundreds of entrants.
The awards are hosted by The Designer magazine, a monthly publication aimed at inspiring professional designers.
Tony Nicholas, managing director of Nicholas Anthony, said: “Carissa really deserves this award as she turned what could have been a problematic room into a design that is both stunning and functional.”
