A high-profile entrepreneur who works to empower women in business will hold a presentation at the University of Suffolk next month.

Lena Benjamin will speak to local tycoons, innovators, academic staff, students and graduates at the university’s Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre on February 20.

The talk forms part of the Women in Enterprise Speaker Series run by the Suffolk Centre for Female Entrepreneurship, which launched in October 2017.

Benjamin is a successful businesswoman and founder of empowerherglobal.com, an online platform providing strategic advice and support for female entrepreneurs.

Stef Thorne, head of research and enterprise services at the University of Suffolk, said: “Despite the title the talks series and the centre itself is not just about women.

“Everyone will benefit from more women engaged and supported in enterprise; supporting economic growth, innovation and productivity across all business sectors.

“The development of entrepreneurial skills that can create, support and develop businesses with inclusivity at the heart is something that really excites me and something that I think can make a huge impact within our region.”

Attendance is free but places must be reserved online.
