THE chief executive of building equipment and materials group Tex Holdings plc has retired.Mark Harrison, who stepped down on December 31, was thanked by the board of the company, based at Claydon Business Park, Great Blakenham, for his contribution.

THE chief executive of building equipment and materials group Tex Holdings plc has retired.

Mark Harrison, who stepped down on December 31, was thanked by the board of the company, based at Claydon Business Park, Great Blakenham, for his contribution.

Gareth Rowlands was appointed as the new CEO with effect from January 1.

Mr Rowlands, 52, a graduate chemical engineer, has worked at senior level with a number of international companies, including Morgan Crucible, Schott AG, Borden Chemical, Akzo and Rhone-Poulenc.
