The Mayor of Colchester has paid a visit to the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) to find out more about its work.
Theresa Higgins was given a tour of the organisation’s Colchester Business Centre, viewing the business incubation facility and meeting some of the tenants as well as members of Colbea’s business training team.
Bob Baggalley, Colbea chief executive, said: “Each year Colbea invites the incoming Mayor of Colchester to visit our Business Centres to talk to our tenants and see how they are contributing to the local Colchester economy.
“This year we were delighted to host Madam Mayor Councillor Theresa Higgins. During the ‘walk around’ the business centre she met several tenants who explained what their business was all about.
“Much to the delight of one tenant it was discovered that Madam Mayor had worked in a similar market place to theirs and they had many shared experiences. The visit concluded with Madam Mayor complimenting Colbea on the excellent support work we do for local small businesses.”
