Movers & Shakers: New-look sales and marketing team at Ransomes Jacobsen

Ipswich-based grounds machinery maker Ransomes Jacobsen, which is part of multinational company Textron Inc, has made some significant changes to its marketing and sales management team.
Gina Putnam, its former international director of marketing and communications, has returned to the USA to manage Jacobsen’s new direct distribution facility serving customers in North & Central Florida.
In her new role, Gina will be managing a team of staff who will be providing a complete range of dealer services to golf courses and sports fields including such notable customers as Plantation Bay Country Club in Ormond Beach, and Daytona International Speedway.
Karen Proctor, joins the marketing department as international marketing and communications manager from her previous role as key account manager in the sales team. She will lead the marketing team to deliver a fully integrated marketing communications strategy across Europe, Middle East, Africa, APAC and Latin America and will report to Ransomes Jacobsen managing director Alan Prickett.
Nick Brown is moving to the new role of manager, corporate accounts – EMEA, to continue the management and development of relationships with key customers. This role includes responsibility for the E-Z-GO and Cushman brands within the UK.
Will Carr becomes golf sales manager for UK & Ireland, promoting Jacobsen and Iseki to the golf market with the emphasis of driving dealer relationships and promoting Jacobsen throughout the UK.
John Quinton returns to the sales team from the customer care department, taking up the position of municipal sales manager for UK & Ireland. He will be responsible for the Ransomes product sales into the municipal and landscape contractor markets.

: : Ipswich-based Gotelee Solicitors has welcomed two new members of staff.
Renitta Uter has joined the criminal law team as a legal assistant. She has wide and varied experience in criminal law, having worked for Suffolk Constabulary as a case assistant, Suffolk County Council as a legal assistant working within the Child Safeguarding Team, Anglia Care Trust working with ex-offenders, helping them to find suitable accommodation, and as a mentor for children.
Renitta said: “I have had a strong interest in criminal law for many years and was excited about working for Gotelee. I had heard of their reputation as a top local firm for criminal law, and I am over the moon to become part of their growing criminal law team.”

Laura Read joins the dispute resolution team as a chartered legal executive. Laura has built a strong reputation for her clear talking and no nonsense approach with businesses and individuals in the local area. Laura worked at another law firm in Suffolk for 12 years before joining Gotelee. She is an experienced lawyer, working for businesses and individuals on contract disputes, bankruptcy, insolvency, injunctions (including Protection from Harassment Act actions) and debt recovery.
“I’m delighted to be working with such a strong team of reputable lawyers at Gotelee. I’ll be taking on a variety of dispute cases for local businesses and individuals and am looking forward to the new challenges,” she said.

: : PR and digital marketing agency Mosaic Publicity is expanding its online offering by hiring digital creatives Darius G Laws and Lindsay Palmer.
Video producer Darius, 32, from Colchester, has produced films for organisations throughout Europe from leading consumer brands to FTSE100 corporates, and from government departments and local authorities to the third sector. He has also filmed numerous celebrities such as Cheryl Cole, Myleene Klass and Gok Wan.
Darius is a Royal TV Society-nominated Short Film Director and won a News Camera award at The Edinburgh International Television Festival. Most recently he produced broadcast and online video content which won PR Week Awards.
As a PR and digital account manager at Mosaic Publicity, he will specialise in video and broadcast production for its diverse client group, providing corporate videos, content for social media and websites, as well as training videos.
Explaining his move from a London agency to Colchester, Darius said: “I’m excited to be part of the growing Colchester creative community and working for an innovative and forward-thinking company such as Mosaic Publicity.”
Also joining the 12-strong Colchester-based team is Lindsey Palmer, 23, a graphic designer who beat more than 100 applicants to the role. The honours graduate in graphic design started her career working as a designer producing imagery for clients from the healthcare, and the fashion industries.
: : Julie Forsyth has joined law firm Birketts’ construction team in Chelmsford as a legal director.
Julie qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and, since then, has specialised in the construction and engineering sector. She was previously a partner in London and has represented and advised clients on a wide variety of infrastructure projects worldwide including airports, bridges, roads and dams. Julie has acted for engineers and their insurers, as well as main contractors, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers.

Sharon Hamilton joins the firm of surveyors, estate agents, valuers and auctioneers, which has offices in Haverhill, Saffron Walden and Newmarket, to lead and deliver its marketing and communications programme.
Sharon will also manage the firm’s new website development project.
