Ipswich-based design and web development consultancy Creative Intent has welcomed three new employees to its expanding team.

The team, based in Epsilon House, have been joined by Raelle Goates who will take the role of account manager. Raelle joins the team from a head of projects role at another creative agency and is relishing the challenge of providing an interface for all of Creative Intent’s clients.

“I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of the clients and ensuring our customer service is second to none,” he said.

Raelle will also assist director Paul Mayne on new business development.

Rachael Woollard, 23, has joined the team as a web designer, after completing her graphic design degree and undertaking an internship to gain business experience.

Rachael said: “Creative Intent are a company I’ve admired for a while so to have been appointed above all other applicants is very exciting. I’m looking forward to being able to express my creativity and bring my designs to life.”

Luke Tubby, 21, becomes front end web developer and will work on both current and new client websites.

Luke said: “I’m keen to learn from the team here and expand my knowledge and skills base, working on some really exciting website builds.”

: : Affordable housing developer and regeneration specialist Lovell has appointed Justin Coote, who lives in Carlton Colville, Lowestoft, as development manager for its East Anglia region.

Justin, who joins Lovell from construction consultancy AECOM where he was the associate responsible for affordable housing, will have a key role in the continuing expansion of Lovell’s affordable and open market housing business across the region.

Based at Lovell’s Norwich office, he will lead projects during the pre-construction phase, co-ordinating all activities from design through to the start of construction on site.

: : Laurie Clark has joined Ipswich-based insurance brokers Woodward Markwell as an independent financial adviser from Mattioli Woods plc. He will be providing corporate financial advice to clients.

Laurie has more than 26 years of experience with the corporate financial services sector, specialising in pensions, life insurance, income protection and private medical insurances. Laurie will be working alongside the firm’s existing corporate independent financial advisers, Davina Olson APFS and Daryl Franklin Dip PFS.

: : Genesis Landscapes, based in Bury St Edmunds, has been voted Marshalls’ Contractor of the Year by leading landscapers from across the UK.

Owner Mike Long beat off strong competition from 240 skilled contractors and 600 project submissions to win a new Toyota Hilux pickup truck at the prestigious Marshalls Register Awards held at Rookery Hall, Cheshire.

Marshalls is the UK’s leading landscaping manufacturer and hosts the event, widely considered to be the industry’s most prestigious, each year to celebrate the very best garden and driveway projects designed and installed by members of its national accredited register scheme.

This year, for the first time, all the award finalists were able to cast their vote for the category winners and choose their overall contractor of the year through an anonymous online poll.

Genesis Landscapes’s project won in the Best Engineering category. Its garden makeover features an extensive, ethically sourced Fairstone Natural Slate patio and many bespoke features including a curved water feature.

“I am stunned and delighted to have been voted the overall winner by my fellow landscaping professionals on the Marshalls Register. It really does mean a lot to me that my hard work has been recognised by the best in the business,” said Mike.

: : Chartered accountant Gary Flatt is celebrating being made partner at East Anglian accountancy firm Lovewell Blake as part of the continued expansion and development of its Lowestoft office.

Gary, 42, has more than 24 years of experience in the profession since joining the firm straight from Sir John Leman High School, Beccles.

Since then he has developed his role to include the provision of accounting, audit and taxation advice to a wide range of clients and has become a respected member of the business community in the town.

Gary will work alongside the three existing partners as part of the senior management team at the firm’s offices on Quay View Business Park.

“I’ve worked for the firm for a long time, so it’s nice to be recognised for the work I’ve put in and to be able to play a more active role in helping develop the business with my fellow partners,” he said.

Gary’s promotion comes just over a year after Lovewell Blake demonstrated its commitment to the Lowestoft area by moving into new purpose built offices at Quay View Business Park.
