Ms Hickman works for Peverel Management Services Ltd, which is responsible for the management of the development, at the corner of Duke Street and Pownall Road, built by Colchester-based Anglia Secure Homes.
As well as their own apartments, residents can enjoy a residents' lounge with adjoining kitchen area and use a laundry room.
“I will be at Foredeck on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and my role is partly to ensure the smooth running of the development and partly to act as a good neighbour and friend to the residents, offering them any assistance they might require, as and when they need it,” she said.
“I am always conscious that they all have their own front door and respect their privacy, but I am here if anyone needs a chat about the running of the development.”
