A range of preserves is being given a new name to fit in with its maker’s best-known range.

Stokes Sauces, based at Rendlesham, near Woodbridge, is giving its five jams and marmalades, previously made under the Staverton Ewe label, a “Stokes makeover” to sit within the company’s best known range.

The re-brand coincides with plans to produce smaller “mini jar” versions of the jams, suitable for hotels and catering outlets.

“This is a great step for us because it brings our delicious preserves under the same look and feel as our award-winning savoury sauces,” said managing director Rick Sheepshanks,.

“We always listen to what our stockists tell us about the way our product is received, but also to the end-user consumer who makes the decision to pick a jar off the shelf.

“What we’ve discovered repeatedly over the last few years is that store managers and customers alike all love the way our Stokes brand sits on their shelf and captures the eye. It led to us deciding the time was right to bring our jams and marmalades into that label.”
