LAW firm Prettys has announced four new appointments at its Ipswich office as it continues to expand in the region.

Australian-trained solicitor Ruth Lewis has joined the firm after re-locating to England earlier this year. She has experience of private client work including wills, enduring powers of attorney, probate and family provision applications and personal injury law. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society and has taught taxation and constitutional law at James Cook University in Australia.

Jerry Norman, who has many years' experience in finance for major logistics companies, has joined the firm as operations manager for Ipswich.

Lisa Norfolk has joined as a conveyancing executive in the property team. She previously worked in Essex and deals with all aspects of residential property including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, shared ownership and right-to-buy transactions.

Joanna Godfrey has joined the firm as a second-year trainee solicitor. Her main interests are in commercial areas of law, in particular shipping, where she is currently training.

Pretty's chief executive officer Paul Dickie said the new appointments reflected the firm's continuing strength across the region.
