AN Ipswich-based call transfer firm has linked up with another company to launch an insurance price comparison service.

Call Connection has got together with car price guide media brand Parker's to create the scheme, which allows customers to compare prices and buy insurance either online or over the telephone through the Call Connection call centre.

Parker's launched in 1972 with a paper product which became one of the best-selling guides of its kind on the market. A website followed in 1999.

The insurance price comparison site uses Call Connection's most advanced technology.

Inphosys was developed in-house by the call centre and features a short and simply web form for customers and allows customers to compare and contrast insurance quotes for selected vehicles simultaneously on screen.

Parker's editor Kieren Puffett said: “We chose to work with Call Connection as they combine highly advanced technology with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. Offering an insurance product is a natural progression for Parkers.co.uk, and adds more value to our customers.”

Call Connection managing director Graeme Kalbraier said the quality and functionality of the product was “significantly different” to the rest of the market.

“Call Connection is uniquely positioned to provide this valuable new addition to parkers online.
