A company specialising in producing and marketing carrots and other root vegetables has reaped a rare accolade.
Produce World IFP, based at Isleham, near Soham, has become one of just 31 food businesses in the UK and across Europe to achieve top A* status following a British Retail Consortium (BRC) unannounced audit. It joins the group’s organics specialist, Produce World RBO, the very first produce site in the industry to achieve the coveted A* status two years ago, in the top 1% of business that use BRC accreditation.Technical director Andy Mitchell said he was “thrilled” at the award.
