A RANGE of Suffolk-made sauces have been launched to buy online through web-based retail giant Ocado.
Rendlesham-based Stokes Sauces products including its Real Tomato Ketchup, Sweet Chilli Sauce and a range of jams and preserves and other condiments will be accessible for consumers nationwide through the independent online grocer, which specialises in home delivery of high-quality food, drink and household goods.
Stokes Sauces managing director Rick Sheepshanks said: “We are delighted to be launching our Real Sauces online through the Ocado website, meaning a wider range of our products are now available nationwide”.
“At Stokes we believe that food should be of the highest quality, and taste delicious, an ethos shared with Ocado, making it a perfect fit. We are very much looking forward to working with Ocado.
“The UK condiments market is led by foreign brands, so in a year of celebrating the best of our heritage, we are delighted to be flying the flag for British brands made here in Britain and securing British jobs”.
The company now produces more than 100 different lines and its produce is widely stocked in farm shops and independent stores throughout the UK. In February, the company secured a national listing with Waitrose for its Real Tomato ketchup, Real Brown sauce and Real Mayonnaise. 20% of its product is now exported to 30 different countries.
