NATIONAL housebuilder Bellway Homes has appointed Richard Burrows as managing director of its Chelmsford-based Essex division.
Mr Burrows returns to the firm, where he worked from 1992 to 1995 as land negotiator, after 12 years at Barratt Eastern Counties, where he has been managing director since 2005.
He said he was “delighted” to return.
“We will be pursuing an enthusiastic land-buying policy from now on and intend to purchase a significant number of plots in this calendar year,” he said.
“My prime goal is to build mainstream, attractive traditional low-rise housing across Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk with some higher density homes as we move south and south west into the Thames Gateway and London.”
