Natural flavourings business Omega Ingredients officially opened new facilities in Great Blakenham near Ipswich on Friday.
The company that creates natural flavours, fragrances and ingredients for the manufacture of food, beverages and cosmetics has expanded its presence on the Orion Court business park and developed a new head office, as well as new laboratories and a natural extraction plant.
The expansion builds on an exciting start to 2017 for Omega.
Last month, business founder Steve Pearce was awarded the International Director of the Year Award for the East of England region by the Institute of Directors. The company has also recently successfully launched a new natural sugar alternative called MegaSweet that it says can be used to reduce the sugar content in dry food as well as beverages, including ice cream, biscuits and cakes, tomato sauce and baked beans.
