The first participants in a leadership development programme launched by Suffolk-based TA Hotel Collection have received their certificates.

TALL (TA Leaders in Learning) aims to support the development of aspiring and existing leaders within the organisation, who properties include the Brudenell and White Lion in Aldeburgh, Thorpeness Hotel & Golf Club, the Swan at Lavenham, the Crown at Woodbridge, and, its latest acquisition, the Crown & Castle at Orford.

The programme began with an “away day” of team building activities, followed by a series of professionally-led training days.

The first 12 members of staff to complete the programme received certificates during an event at the Swan, attended by the TA Hotel Collection board of directors.

The evening was hosted by some of the company’s apprentices from the kitchen, front of house and food and beverage teams who planned, cooked and served the meal.

Annette Whybrow, a non-executive director at the TA Hotel Collection, said: “Selecting who should take part in the first TALL programme from the many excellent applications was a very difficult task.

“We were very impressed with the passion and enthusiasm shown by those who joined the course and am delighted see how it has helped them grow in confidence. Plans are now in hand for a further TALL programme later this year.”
