Suffolk Chamber International, part of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, is set to host an event next Wednesday for local firms interested in breaking into the Indian market.

Doing Business in India, at Greshams in Ipswich, offers an insight into one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Much of the country’s growth is driven by domestic consumer demand among the growing Indian middle classes.

“Suffolk Chamber International has used its influence to bring together key experts from a number of different disciplines to offer a comprehensive overview of what it takes to make it in India,” said Suffolk Chamber International manager Jim Fanshawe.

Georgina Cope, from foreign exchange specialist MoneyCorp, Stuart Muir from the UK India Business Council and Richard Melton from local exporters BSP International Foundations will be joined by Andrew Scott from accountants Ensors to give attendees up-to-date guidance on the practicalities of exporting to India.

The topics covered will include trade finance, choosing your Indian business partner, protecting your intellectual property, staff recruitment and adapting products for an Indian market.

The event takes place at Greshams, 312 Tuddenham Road, Ipswich IP4 3QJ. Places cost £20 including VAT for chamber members, £30 for non-members, including a buffet selection and refreshments. To book, go to: https://www.suffolkchamber.co.uk/events-networking/suffolk-chamber-events/
