Suffolk Chamber of Commerce backs ‘Exporting is good for Britain’ event
As part of its planned themed policy year for 2013 – exporting - Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is encouraging companies to attend the British Chambers of Commerce first international trade conference.
Good for Britain will take place on 24th October 2012 at BMA House, London. The event is part of the Chamber’s ‘Business is Good for Britain’ campaign which celebrates the role of businesses of all sizes in delivering growth, jobs and success across the UK and will bring together the highest growth exporters from within the UK to provide advice, contacts and tools for export success.
“Business growth through exports is crucial for our firms,” said Peter Funnell president of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. “Many companies would like to export, but are unaware of the tools available to them to get them started or help them increase orders. The ‘Exporting is Good for Britain’ conference supports the work of Suffolk Chamber’s International Trade group, and is a fantastic opportunity for business people in the county to celebrate the vital role the private sector plays in driving growth in the UK, as well as learn from business experts who have successfully grown global brands through exporting.”
David Riches, commercial director at the British Chambers of Commerce, said: “The BCC is committed to helping businesses thrive and grow in an uncertain environment, both here in the UK and overseas. There are thousands of companies that have through sheer hard work grown and exported their products and services across the globe – and this event will give people the opportunity to hear exactly how they have done it. Attendees will also have the chance to meet representatives from both UK and international Chambers of Commerce and other trade organisations, to make connections and share experiences in the pursuit of export success.”
