The owners of a farm shop enterprise which has played a key role in an agricultural education event for high school students have been praised for their efforts.
Sally and Robert Bendall of Hollow Trees Farm at Semer, near Hadleigh, have been pivotal to the success of the Suffolk Food and Farming Student Day which celebrated its 10th year on Wednesday, June 20.
Bakers at the farm shop made a special cake to thank volunteers for their work in introducing students to the wide range of career opportunities in the industry.
Sally and Robert were presented with flowers and wine by Easton and Otley College apprenticeship employer liaison officer
Nicola Currie who thanked them on behalf of Suffolk food and farming businesses for their efforts in attracting young people into jobs in the sector. The student day is run by Hollow Trees Farm, Suffolk Agricultural Association and Easton and Otley College and is sponsored by the Chadacre Trust.
