Four companies from Suffolk and Norfolk feature in a new online film produced to showcase the Growing Business Fund set up by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) – and to encourage more small and medium-sized firms to take advantage of the scheme.

More than £5.6million has already been awarded to more than 60 businesses across the two counties, unlocking a further £34m of private sector investment and helping to create around 800 new jobs.

Among the firms featured in the five-minute film, telling how the fund has supported their growth aspirations, are Ipswich-based digital marketing agency Crafted, which received £60,000 to help expand its offices and increase its marketing team, and sauce and dressings manufacturer Scarlett & Mustard, from Earl Soham, which received a £20,000 grant to assist its expansion into larger premises.

Brad Warwick, commercial director at Crafted, said: “If you’re looking for inspiration to help take your business to the next level or a reminder of the great brand stories our region has to tell, watching the video from New Anglia LEP is time well invested; four great reasons to find out how the Growth Business Fund could help you.”

Also featured in the film are Norfolk firms Zenos Cars from Wymondham and stainless steel stockholder Optima Stainless from King’s Lynn.

The Growing Business Fund provides grants of up to £500,000 and can fund up to 20% of expansion plans. One job must be created for every £10,000 funding awarded.

Chris Starkie, managing director of New Anglia LEP, said: “We want the video to inspire and encourage other businesses to come forward.

“I’m certain there are many other small and medium-sized enterprises out there who are looking to expand, whether that’s by investing in new machinery, bigger premises or creating a new website. Our message is to get in touch and find out if we can help you.”
