A Suffolk housebuilder has joined a national campaign aimed at bringing more people into the housebuilding industry.

Persimmon Homes Suffolk, which operates new homes developments across Suffolk and Essex, has signed up to the Home Builders Skills Partnership’s ‘Attract’ campaign, which promotes careers in housebuilding across the UK.

The three-month campaign aims to show young people, career changers and former armed forces personnel the wide range of job opportunities available.

Simon Wood, director in charge of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “The Government estimates the UK needs to build 300,000 new homes every year to keep up with national demand and, at Persimmon, there are many ways to contribute to that target.

“There are career opportunities at all levels in our land and planning, construction, sales, finance and technical teams. People joining Persimmon can look forward to a rewarding, varied and worthwhile career with one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.

“The company provides superb training and development programmes, enabling us to recognise talent and achievement, with people being promoted from within wherever possible.

“Employees at all levels are part of the Persimmon family and enjoy a real sense that their personal contribution is making a difference – to the company and its customers.”
