Ipswich Building Society will be hosting an Audience with Bill Turnbull at its annual general meeting next month.

Suffolk-resident Bill, who spent 15 years as a presenter on BBC Breatfast, now hosts the BBC One quiz show Think Tank and a weekend mid-morning radio show on Classic FM.

He will take to the stage to entertain members with anecdotes from his career and personal life (he is an avid keeper of bees and chickens) and the audience will then have the opportunity to ask questions and meet Bill for photos and autographs.

The AGM, the 167th in the building society’s history and taking place on March 29 at Trinity Park, Ipswich, will also feature an “All In” membership event.

The formal meeting will give members an opportunity to hear about the society’s performance in 2016, following a significant year of change for the UK and the organisation itself. Also among those present will be society chairman Sarah Evans and its new chief executive, Richard Norrington.

The event is open to only to society members, who may bring a guest. Members can register to attend by contacting their local branch, emailing agm@ibs.co.uk or applying online at www.ibs.co.uk/members-lounge.
