Shoppers in Colchester’s town centre were surprised when a group of singers sprang from nowhere to belt out a catchy ditty at the weekend.
The musical “flashmob” was part of the Loveurcarcolchester project - a campaign to encourage drivers to walk for short journeys. The singers, including Colchester Institute musical theatre students, and members of Hythe Community Choir and Sing Brightlingsea, entertained people in Culver Square with a catchy piece of music written especially for the project.
The loveurcarcolchester campaign is funded by Defra and aims to tackle air quality issues in Colchester. Visit www.loveurcarcolchester.co.uk to watch the video.
