A CAMBRIDGESHIRE care home was evacuated as fire spread through the roofspace this afternoon.
Fire crews from Littleport, Ely, Soham and the turntable ladder from Cambridge were called to the nursing home in Grange Lane, Littleport, at 2.45pm.
Residents and staff were evacuated before firefighters removed part of the roof of the three storey building to tackle the fire using hose reels.
