EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a road crash on the A12 at Saxmundham this evening.
The southbound carriageway of the road is currently blocked at the Aldeburgh junction after a Vauxhall Astra and a Toyota Prius were involved in a collision at about 6.08pm this evening.
Fire crews from Saxmundham and Leiston were called to attend after reports that one vehicle was smoking.
On arrival firefighters found neither vehicle was on fire but made the cars safe at the scene.
Police are currently still dealing with the incident. A police spokesman said any injuries are not believed to be serious or life threatening.
Officers are waiting for recovery vehicles to arrive before clearing the road.
