A car was damaged on the A12 after a bicycle fell from the back of another vehicle at the weekend.

Police are appealing for information following the incident, which happened between Junction 25 for Marks Tey and 26 for Stanway around 5.30pm on Saturday.

A red Raleigh bicycle fell from the back of a vehicle and hit a Ford Kuga damaging the windscreen and bodywork.

The driver of the Kuga was not injured.

Police want to identify the driver of the vehicle from which the bike fell.

Anyone who was driving on that stretch of road at that time and has dash cam footage is asked to call Essex Police on 101, quoting incident 956 of December 15 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
