Emergency services were called out early this morning to a caravan on fire, thought to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were alerted to the fire on West Meadows, off Bury Road at Whitton, at 2.50am.
Two crews from Colchester Road and Princes Street stations attended the blaze in the caravan and a nearby horse box, and rescued two dogs thought to have been inside.
Police were called to investigate the cause of the fire, which is believed to be suspicious.
