AN INQUEST into the death of a six-year-old boy from Ipswich is to take place in due course.

Jacob Gaecke died on December 21 last year at his home in Nacton Road - exactly a year after his sister Sarah, 15, was killed in a road accident.

A post mortem was carried out a few days later but the cause of his death was unascertained and further tests were carried out.

Police today revealed that final histology and toxicology report has now been completed and the cause of death remains unascertained. However the death is no longer being treated as unexplained and is not deemed suspicious.

An inquest will take place in due course.

Ambulance crews were called to the house on the morning of December 21 but Jacob, who had severe physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, was pronounced dead on arrival.
