Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify in connection with an incident of assault and theft near Lowestoft.

The incident took place at the Co-op store in London Road at Pakefield on Wednesday, May 17, just before 7am.

A man took around four or five bottles of spirits from the shelves and then after he was challenged by staff he aggressively suggested he would use a bottle on them if he wasn’t allowed to leave.

He pushed him out of the way but no injuries were caused to the male shop worker. He then left the premises and turned right onto London Road.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the male in the image should contact Lowestoft police on 101, quoting crime reference 37/26847/18 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
