MOTORISTS making their way into Ipswich today were held up as a census was carried out in the town centre.

Workers on behalf of Suffolk County Council asked motorists driving over Stoke Bridge and Princes Street Bridge a series of questions about their motoring habits.

The census caused queues along Wherstead Road and Belstead Road.
