POOLE are back at the Showground on Thursday in a match sponsored by Andy Millar, with rumours still ongoing regarding strengthening up their current team.

However it appears Poole are running with their current line a little longer, although because of green sheet changes which become effective on Thursday, Chris Holder and Bjarne Pedersen swap places at 1 and 5.

Ales Dryml swaps sides for this match and lines up at no 2 for the Pirates and another Showground specialist Joe Screen rides with yet another ex Panther Daniel Davidsson in the middle order.

The Poole reserves for this match are again Tomasz Piszcz and Paul Hurry, with supporters needing no reminding that Piszcz scored 9 in the A fixture and of course that both riders have good knowledge of Alwalton having ridden for the Panthers in days gone by.

Panthers will be back to full strength and will be tracking the same 1-7 that did such an effective job at Belle Vue yesterday. Confidence and team spirit is excellent with Niels Kristian Iversen and Kenneth Bjerre both back to their best.

Karlo Zabik made a triumphant return with a solid 7 points after returning from a shoulder injury and will be looking to improve on that on Thursday.

Claus Vissing said “We will be concentrating on our own performances and not worrying about the opposition, but I am not concerned as we are all riding well, we beat them well last time in the A fixture although I didn't ride because of injury and I am quite confident we can do so again. I am sure Trevor will ensure the track is set up like it was last week, especially early on when it suited us all very well”.

Team Manager Trevor Swales said: We won't be taking them lightly despite their league position and the fact they are struggling, they have a lot of riders in their team that enjoy riding at the Showground and I'm sure that Ales Dryml will be out to prove a point. I am very pleased with the way that the team responded to our recent criticism and the result at Belle Vue on Monday was down to a very good team effort rather than one or two individual performances, what was especially pleasing is that we had several problems early on and they just got on with the job and team spirit is excellent”.

Promoter Mick Bratley said: "I am confident; now our side is back to full strength, that we have the beating of any team visiting the Showground. We are progressively getting better and better and when this team finally peaks, we are going to take some stopping."
