A VAN was left lying on its side in a ditch today after a road crash.
Fire crews from Wickhambrook and Bury St Edmunds attended the scene of the crash, on the A143 at Chedburgh near Rede Hall Farm Park, after initial reports that there was a man trapped in the vehicle.
But when they arrived along with paramedics at 9.15am, they found the driver had managed to escape the van. Firefighters stayed to make the scene safe but the man was not thought to have been hurt.
