A BODY discovered in the River Chlemer has been identified by police as a missing woman from Chelmsford.
The body of 51-year-old Sally Peacock was found by a member of the public in the river near Hoffman’s Way at 11am yesterday (Tuesday April 12).
Essex Police has today identified the woman as Mrs Peacock of Hillary Close, Chelmsford, who was reported missing on Sunday April 10.
A post-mortem examination will take place later today. Her death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
