Police have released an E-fit image of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman.
The suspect forced his way in to the woman’s home in Falmouth Gardens, Chelmsford, and carried out the assault after claiming he was there to repair the guttering.
The woman was “too distressed” to report the incident immediately, an Essex police spokesman said, adding she contacted the force after confiding in a friend.
Officers believe the assault took place at around 11.30am on August 20.
The man is between 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and has curly, shoulder-length blond hair. He was wearing a red and white patterned t-shirt and black and white knee-length shorts.
Witnesses or people with information relating to the incident are urged to call Essex Police on 101.
