Approximately 2,500 pheasant chicks were killed after the shed in which they were housed caught fire.
Firefighters attended the scene of the blaze at the back of a property in Barcham Road, Soham, at 9.30am yesterday.
They found a large area of sheds on fire, and it took four crews nearly three hours to battle the flames.
