FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat fire in Clacton late last night.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the blaze at a property in Rosemary Road at 10.20pm.
Three fire crews were sent to the scene and found the flat was heavily smoke logged.
Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, using one hose reel to extinguish the fire by just before 11.30pm.
A thermal image camera was used to check for any hotspots and a high pressured fan was used to clear the flat of smoke.
