Clacton: Kitesurfer in difficulty finds his way ashore before coastguards reach him

A male kitesurfer in difficulty found his way to the shore of Clacton’s Martello Bay before coastguards reached him.

Clacton Coastguards were notified at 16.23pm today after a series of 999 calls alerting them to the kitesurfer who had a broken rig.

The coastguards attended the incident to confirm he was safely ashore.
