A man has been charged with drink driving following a collision involving a pedestrian.
Kristopher Turk, of Golden Lane, Thorpe Le Soken, Clacton-on-Sea, was arrested following the incident and failed a breath test.
It took place on Brooklands, Jaywick, Clacton-on-Sea, on July 19.
The 29-year-old has been charged with drink driving, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to report that accident and failing to stop when required by a police officer.
He has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on September 20.
