A female police officer was hit when a driver failed to stop
A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in an early morning attack.
The 37-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen in Marine Parade East, Clacton, at about 2.45am.
He remains in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
A 12-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman, from Clacton, and a 21-year-old woman from Ramsgate in Kent, remain in police custody.
