FIREFIGHTERS were alerted after a van burst into flames on the A14 today.
The fire broke out at about 5.50pm in the eastbound carriageway between Beacon Hill and Claydon.
A crew from Colchester Road fire station and another from Needham Market were sent to the scene.
They discovered a small fire in the engine compartment of the van.
The incident was quickly under control after most of the flames were extinguished before the crews arrival.
