A MAN has been charged following an alleged racial incident that caused distress to a fellow bus passenger .
The 37-year-old, from Wivenhoe, has been charged with using words or behaviour to cause harassment or alarm and distress. He has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates court on January 20.
Another man, a 20-year-old also from Wivenhoe, has been cautioned for racially aggravated public order following the incident, which occurred on January 6 on a number 78 bus travelling between Greensted and Wivenhoe.
