A 30-year-old man had been walking along the road when he was approached by a number of men who confronted him. He was then kicked and punched and suffered cuts and bruises to his face.

A 17-year-old man was arrested at the time and was subsequently cautioned for assault but police are continuing to investigate and want to identify a number of other suspects.
