Police in Essex have today issued an e-fit of a man they want to question in connection with an attempted break-in.
The incident happened at a house in Sussex Road, Colchester, around 1.10pm on Friday, January 17, when the wanted man was confronted by an occupant of the property as he tried to open a dining room window at the rear of the house.
The offender then ran off.
He is described as white, aged 50 to 60, and 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a grey flat cap over greying hair and was dressed in a grey anorak.
He was also carrying a white carrier bag and had on gloves.
Anyone who recognises the man in the image is asked to call PC Chris Leslie at Colchester CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
